To whom it may concern, this is not the only phone I have ever owned but it is undoubtedly the worse. For the last two days I have been trying to activate this phone without success.
In addition to be totally useless to help me, the have the audacity to be rude, loud, impolite. This is a new phone which I was looking forward to using, but up to now, it has been totally useless. On top of everything else, they have the nerve to be rude and nasty, hollering in my ear like banshees. Everything they have told me to do has failed. I called last night to try to change my pin number because I was very upset and nervous trying to work with this phone.
The idiot I talked to kept yelling the same useless instructions at me. Then someone I talked to about an hour ago kept telling me to do things until she ran out of options. Eventually, she told me I could do a factory reset.
I have tried over and over without success to remember the pin. An agent of yours named John, was no help whatsoever. I tried to no avail. Eventually she told me I needed to do a factory reset and then she had to go. Before she went back to what she was doing when I called, she offered to transfer my service to another phone. I want you to either to tell me how to get this phone working or cancel my service.

I have been a Tracphone user for several years, having 4 phones on Family Value Plan. The phones are for my daughter who has a special needs child. She leave work at midnight traveling a little used road. It is imperative that she have a functioning phone. The second phone being used by a disable senior citizen.
The third by a preteen for emergency. The fourth phone is unable to be added to family value plan. It is now been SIX months that have had problems with family value plan. I have used more than minutes, 7 tickets and promises from tech services, that the problem would be resolved within 24 hours. All phones would be consolidated on Family Value Plan and minutes added, used minutes to restored the problem resolved.
We continue to be billed for minutes from family value plan and not receiving minutes. When I call I am told there is a code error. I have been told by Tech Services to wait a month and call back on the except billing date of Family Value Plan, which I have done with no results.
My average time on phone with Tech, Services is usually greater than 1 hr. I have found the customer service workers, supervisors to not be helpful and some had little understanding of the English language.
Hopefully this post will prompt a phone call or e mail that will resolve the problem. We thought my husbands phone needed to be replaced, so we ordered a new one for him.
When we received it and activated it, it began to do the same thing. My husband called customer service and told them what was happening, and they said they would send a new phone. He said he didn't want a new phone, but they sent one anyway.
Meanwhile, we returned the original phone for a refund. I called after several weeks went by, and they said they would look into it. Still nothing. I called again and was told that I had to wait for 30 days for the refund to hit the credit card I used. Two days ago, I called again and spent over an hour on the phone trying to explain what happened, with no help. I called again last night and it was over 2 hours and was told that I was not entitled to the refund!
When I asked her to explain, I was placed on hold for another 20 minutes or so. She assured me that she would assign someone to resolve the issue and they would call me back today. Surprise, surprise, no call. Now I am on hold with them, yet again, and have spent another evening trying to resolve this!
I purchased a I've been a loyal Tracfone customer for over 10 years. Just upgraded to a new smartphone after Christmas. Previous phone had minutes left on it. Always had carry over minutes and never a problem with it. After activation, I wanted to check my minutes and new renewal date. New date was correct, but I was only showing minutes. A loss of minutes. Could not get any satisfaction or explanation as to how this might happen. Spoke with 2 more levels of customer service, all said the same thing, while never even offering any apology or concern with my issue.
They would not be crediting any minutes at all to my phone. My old phone screen still showed the minutes, and I have photos of each phone side by side with the different minutes on the same date.
Didn't matter to then, they were not going to do anything for me. Next step would be to their fraud division, claiming my minutes were stolen, however I was told once I go to that level, all my remaining minutes will be cancelled, as well as my phone number. Sounded to me like I was the one being accused of fraud to treat me like that.
I asked for corporate, I asked for a email address, all to elevate my complaint, and the agent refused to give me any further data. When I told her they were going to lose a customer, they did not care.
So far I have aired my complaint on comsumeraffair. I am also forwarding copies of my complaints along with all the photos of my phone screens to every executive name I can find at Tracfone.
If all these complaints do not get resolved, or customers start getting some satisfaction, I predict that someone will get mad enough to start a class action suit against Tracfone, which I doubt is something they want to happen.
Just got off the house phone after another protracted phone call with customer service. Have been without my cell phone for several days now because they arbitrarily decided to deactivate it. Nothing I have done, ie phone calls, internet etc has fixed the problem. When I call they say oh yes Mam we will reactivate it. I finally said enough.
Just cancel everything even though I still had air time till and about units left and give me a refund. Well they can't do that. I told them where they can stick the phone and hung up. I don't know if a letter to corporate will help or not but I guess that will be my next step. I call back to make sure it was ok to purchase a few minutes so I would not be without my phone because I have a special needs child that is home bound and have to have my phone if I leave my house for any reason.
They said it was ok, so I purchased 60min that evening. I don't think his problem is with tracphon it's with Google mail! My Tracfone is worthless to me. It keeps popping up with a Google search message and has been reset several times. I was told today that some models have this defect and to fix the problem I will have to buy a new phone. Tell me why would I do that? I hope other customers will read my review and turn to a more reputable company. Maybe a company that cares about customer service.
I have been contacting phone for a week The issue has been my loss of original minutes 3, minutes , from my trac phone when I added additional minutes.
Each time I spoke with your representative I was told to call back with 72hours, 48hours, etc. On Oct. He James , informed me I definitely would be reimbursed with the minutes today when I called back. Tonite I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to your employee named "Lovely" I insisted on staying on the line as I have exhausted my personal time trying to resolve this problem. She then told me I would not be reimbursed for the lost minutes minutes and my only recourse was to write this complaint.
I have used a trac phone along with many other family and friends and have never had this problem. I am asking for your serious consideration in offering some compensation, if not full reimbursement of this financial loss of tracphone minutes.

Since August 4, , I have been unable to make outgoing calls! I can not call if there was an emergency. As well, when someone calls me, my telephone does not ring.
It automatically goes to voice mail. However, I do not know when or if I receive any calls. I am interviewing for jobs. Today, I didn't receive any voice mail messages until 4 hours after it was sent!
Even though, I have checked my voice mail 4 x today. I do not want to miss calls for job interviews. The customer service person 3 weeks ago in Philippines was not empowered by Tracfone to correct the problem. It is going on 4 weeks and I do not have a new cell, nor do I have a working cell phone.

Since Tracphone is getting paid from the federal Gov't for the worse service. And I am a taxpayer. I will definitely sponsor a change of Tracphones policy. My mother's phone was stolen. The new minutes were not used for this month. But per statement from your customer service supervisor in Buloise, My mother lost her minutes for this month, no matter if it was used or not.
They will only give her 10 minutes on this replacement phone. I am sure a few Senators and Congress would like to know why you are damning my mother and other elderly or disabled if they get there phone stolen. Because that is what it feels like to them.

I had a fine Tracfone Plan - phone and cost for a few years and thought well of Tracfone. I am on a limited income and waited till a price dropped on a smart phone on line and ordered one. It malfunctioned, and I returned it and was sent another. It also malfunctioned and I returned it. I was told when I ordered it I did not need to buy the activation card as I was a customer.
When I called in I was browbeat to buy a card. I did and I added a plan. Icons kept appearing, it jumped from one screen to another etc. I never got it.
I was told my original phone number was too old to reuse, and I needed a new SIM card. I waited 2 weeks, no card. It never showed, and 3 days later, I spoke to another supervisor that instructed me nothing had been done right prior by anyone.
I started this process mid May , and I'm writing this on June 9 Do you think one is on the way? Yeah, I doubt it too.
Big FAT waste of time and money. I must have spent a total of over an hour on hold waiting for each of the many reps I spoke to to figure it out. This company thinks they are saving money by outsourcing. Thank you Tracfone, you have convinced me to move on to another provider. I must ask How does your web site accept an order to be shipped without me providing an address? Seven full days after the initial order date I was informed of your incompetence by a CS rep only after I called into you. He said he will get my sim-card too me in days not the "within 3 days" that you promised the week prior.
On the 5th day there was still no sim-card in the mail so I called your CS again. Once again, you have my phone number and failed to supply even the most basic of customer service. You had no problems charging my credit card back on the first day, how is it that you do not know how to use a phone to call your customer to get an address that you already had or ask for more info? This level of incompetence simply can not be tolerated.

Tracfone is a sadddddddd excuse for a customer friendly company! I live in another state and have a disabled brother in Tampa, Fla who lives in a nursing home. I originally purchased a phone and provided Tracfone service for him without a problem.
However I discontinued the service several months ago when I determined that he had plus minutes on the phone and was not using the phone. I was on a plan that provided 60 minutes monthly and I was billed each month. On March 27th, I tried to reactivate the phone and the nightmare began. I finally sent a message to Corporate about my inability to talk with someone knowledgeable enough to help me. This was referred to Technical Support and I received a call from Jobert who stayed on the phone with me for an extended period of time, took my credit card information for the third time and then sent me an email Transaction Summary ID advising that to complete the activation I should tell my brother to "turn the phone OFF and Immediately back ON.
Make a call. If the call was unsuccessful, wait 1 hour and repeat these steps. I gave my brother this information on April 3, and to date, he still has no reception. I contacted Customer Service who, despite this Transaction Summary listing my credit card information, advises that they have no credit information on this account.
Over and over. Phone call after phone call. It appears that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and vice versa. I would like to send you all of my documentation but I don't know if there is anyone there who even cares. Yes, my phone is active. I know that. The issue, and why I can't call you, is that I have a zero balance on my minutes. My minutes ran out while I was on the phone with you trying to fix the problem.
Now, is that clear? When my old phone number was transferred to my new phone, my minutes on the previous phone number were not transferred over. All of that disappeared.
I was supposed to get the days, minutes, messages, and data that was left on my old phone plus the days, minutes, messages, and data on my new phone combined on the transferred phone number. I believe that all I got was the balance that was left on my old phone. When I called last, the person I talked to said that it was obvious what had been done wrong, and that he would "fix" it so that I would have my full balance.
I asked him several times what would happen when my minutes ran out while speaking to him, and he ignored me. Then, my minutes ran out while we were talking, and the phone hung up. If it's so obvious what was done wrong, someone needs to fix my balance so that I have all of the days, minutes, data, and messages that I am supposed to have.
It's your mistake, and I shouldn't have to call you and waste minutes calling you trying to get you to fix it, even if I had any minutes. I don't have access to another number that I can call you with. Even if I did, why should I ask someone else to waste their minutes so that I can call you to fix something that is what your rep called "an obvious mistake"?
Yours is the only service that I know of that even makes people pay for customer service calls. It's ridiculous! Why should we have to pay for time to fix our phones, when you are the ones that screwed them up?
And, your customer service calls take at least 30 minutes, and usually over an hour because the people that you hire don't know what they are doing or don't understand what the problem is to begin with. And, over half of them don't speak or understand English well enough for them to be working in an international call center. Fix my phone and give me the total amount of days, minutes, texts, and data that I have paid for, or you can expect further action due to your breach of contract and endangering the life of a disabled American for not having access to phone service that I have paid for.
Your advertisement about. Bring your own phone for straight talk. I went to walmart to get straight talk service. For my Samsung galaxy s4. Yea not compatible. With Sprint. You never say in Your advertisement about who it works with.
I wasted my time and gas to go there. Then had to go back to exchange. Yes I got my money back. Still don't give you the right to say bring your own phone.. Don't work. Why is tracfone hiding? I can't stress this enough. I just called corporate and they make up the answers as they go. I have been rooked out of almost minutes trying to get the offered "additional 20 minutes using PROMO codes. They don't have ANY answers to any questions, apparently do NOT take notes when you call for help, so it is totally useless.
When these minutes are done.. I'm done! Funny, the capcha is FHKW I guess that's what they think of me too I bought a new tracfone in November Tracfone sent me a new sim card to insert in the new phone and said they had transferred all the info to that sim card.
The phone would not accept the sim card When that sim card was received, I called Tracfone and after 3 hours on the phone trying to get the phone to accept the sim card, the operator at Tracfone finally decided that there was something wrong with the phone I was transferred to another department who said they would send me a phone with a sim card and all of my info from my former phone to my home within 5 to 7 days.
They again argued with me about my address which we have had for about 20 years stating it was not a valid US Post Office address even though they had sent two sim cards to that address priorily.
I did not receive the new phone within a month and recently called them about the phone After an hour of arguing with the Tracfone person, I gave up as my blood pressure was out of sight. They still owe me a phone, the minutes on my old phone and the minutes they added from a card I had at the time of the second call to them.
They are very hard to talk to and I am furious. I still want the phone I paid for with my old info and the minutes they owe me. Would be nice if someone would contact me. I contacted customer service and was told they could not do anything about it I would need to contact my credit card company for assistance. My credit card company contacted tracfone and was given documentation that I was properly billed. When I contested that claim I was told that I had to pay the bill because tracfone provided documentation that I had two accounts.
So not true! So, basically, tracfonecan lie about account information and nothing can be done for the consumer. Oh, yes. Tell anyone I know not to have anything to do with this company. I have been a Tracfone customer since Weds evening I called to activate the new phone.
Activation was completed quickly. I had anew phone number When used the phone Thursday morning, the Verizon operator came on and informed me that this number was not an active number. For the past week I have been trying to activate the LGC and have been told it was in process of being ported. I have spent hours on the phone on the number,being moved from one office to another. I was told that programming a new phone is a 2 hour to 2 day procedure.
Can you help me because the normal procedure does not work. I ended up with min period,i tried to get him to add the super size min and he said i had to buy another min plan then he would add the super size package. My service ended on Sunday and that same day I ordered a new phone and service card. I received it on Tuesday and went ahead and activated the phone under the assumption I would get my old number, didn't happen.
I called your service representative and was told my old phone had to be active to transfer the number in which he told me to purchase a plan and they would carry that same one over to my new phone with the number.. I then asked a representative from Straight Talk what I should do with the phone as Wal-Mart stated that they no longer carry this particular phone, the caller advised me to return the phone and that they will send me a brand new phone from Straight Talk in business days.
I then returned the phone as recommended and after two days, I called Straight Talk to confirm that the phone was already processed and mailed out, they stated that it was a different representative this time. I then went to Wal-Mart, purchased the second phone, and once I returned home, it was determined by Straight Talk staff that this phone too was in fact defective I am having a problem with one of the features of my tracfone.

They say they can transfer the minutes, no problem, but I have to keep the phone number from 1 that I don't want and its impossible to as the phone minutes belong to the 1 phone.
Lies, Lies, Lies, not one person that I have spoken with is reputable, aside from not understanding a simple request. Why should they give a schit which number I keep?????? Changed son's phone a couple of months ago. They gave a new number even when I filled out the form to transfer the existing number to new unit, but did not activate the phone for two months. Yeah, the old number was still working on the old phone for those two months because the ineptitude of the CS center to field the request. They told me that the number in my phone was giving to someone else and that my 45 dollar card was now giving to the owner of my number.
