Potentially post some screenshots of Job statistic. Or open a support case and let our support have a look at the logs? There are VM's in a job and it only seems to do 2? That means it will take around minutes just to create the snapshots. Next to that collecting disk files location takes 30 seconds on average and for some VM's even more than 2 minutes. Removing the VM snapshot after the storage snapshot has been taken takes another seconds. Just hoped that maybe I overlooked some setting that could resolve this.
So the question is why only 2 are processed on your side. Bring 10VMs in consistent state, then create storage snapshot This should speed up things. Making storage snapshots per X amount of VM's indeed makes sense in this case.
The reclaimable space of a snapshot, then, is the total space occupied by blocks which only belong to the snapshot. New snapshots are fairly easy to estimate. If you consider that a snapshot is precisely equal to the active filesystem state of included files when it is created, you can understand that the reclaimable space of a snapshot at the time of creation is always zero.
This is because every single block owned by the snapshot is also owned by the active filesystem. For snapshots before the latest snap, if the rate of new writes to disk is fairly constant then snapshot reclaimable space should be nearly constant. There are exceptions, such as the latest snapshot which would show a smaller reclaimable space until the snapshot interval is concluded, or a snapshot that has been used for cloning. Reclaimable space for older snapshots will fluctuate much less but can still change.
If a previous or subsequent snapshot is deleted, any blocks that were only owned by the snapshot in question and the deleted snapshot will become exclusively owned by this snapshot, thus increasing the reclaimable space. While changes from other snapshot removals may be harder to predict they are often small compared to the reclaimable space of each snapshot. Most of the time older snapshots already list a reclaimable space figure, and If the change is significant we should see an update after the next filesystem scan.

If yes, remove it. I have tried to backup on different media disk and LTO3. One more is strange for me. CraigV Level 6. Partner VIP Accredited. Are there any snapshots still waiting to be deleted?
VIP Certified. Disable the shadow copy component and then enable it again. Remove any disk space limit. To pkh: I have restarted server many times so it means that shadow was restarted also. To mgmasterv2: Currently no budget for upgrade. Post Reply.
